Senior Data Engineer

Help shape the data movement, validation, and SQL Server migration features that make SQL Cockpit credible for teams handling large production datasets.

Responsibilities

• Design data workflows for table synchronisation, migration progress tracking, validation, and operational reporting.
• Work closely with product engineering on SQL Server metadata, query performance, batch processing, and observability features.
• Prototype reliable approaches for moving and checking large datasets, from small business systems to multi-billion-row tables.
• Document implementation patterns so support, sales, and customers understand how the product behaves in real environments.

Requirements

• Strong SQL Server experience, including schema design, indexing, query tuning, and operational troubleshooting.
• Production experience with ETL, ELT, migration, replication, or synchronisation workflows.
• Able to turn ambiguous database problems into measured, testable product behaviour.
